Projection View

Projection views are used to hide the fields of the table. It display data from only one table alone i.e the table which we specify as a base table.

 Step 1: Go to SE11 Tcode. Select the radio button View and Enter the name for the view and click on create(F5).

Choose the view type as projection view and press enter.

Step 2: Enter the short description and choose the Base table.

Step 3: Choose the fields from the table fields button.

Step 4: The maintenance status of the view controls how the data of the table can be accessed with the projection view.

 

In the maintain status tab, select the status and check whether you want your view to be readonly or editable.

Save and activate the program.

 

Output :

 

See the output of the view using Ctrl+shft+f10.

Here we have the change option. We can also view the data as well as change the data and store it back.
